Poppy's Bus and Beers And Bikes were slow to begin. 

Beers And Bikes shifted out on the home turn and collided with Magic Miley, causing Magic Miley to fall and severely checking Paw Xena. Beers And Bikes proceeded to race wide for the remainder of the event. Paw Xena and Magic Miley subsequently underwent post-race veterinary examinations:

- Paw Xena was found to have no apparent injury.

- Magic Miley was found to have no apparent injury. 

Steward's spoke to Trainer, Mr. Dallan Klemke, regarding the racing manners of Beers And Bikes on the home turn. Stewards heard submissions from Mr. Klemke, viewed the available race footage and formed their own observations. Stewards were comfortably satisfied that, whilst Beers And Bikes had shifted out and thereafter raced wide, Beers And Bikes' racing manners did not constitute a breach of the rules. Subsequently, Stewards took no further action.   

More Beer Please was quick to begin.  Kansas Chief was slow to begin.  

Out To Stagger and Always Loyal raced wide in the home straight.

Paw Oswald was quick to begin.  Cobble Giblet and Diva Eradicator were slow to begin.

Rapidfire Forest was quick to begin.  Blackpool Viper and Paw Nicholls were slow to begin.

Arandt's Girl and Cuban Cigar raced wide in the home straight.

Arandt's Girl underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the Handler's request and was found to have a right quadriceps injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Aston Gozo was quick to begin.  Meal Ticket was slow to begin.

Pretty Panama was quick to begin.  Yamgata Bale was slow to begin.

Rapidfire Serena raced wide in the home straight.

Bella La Vita underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock sprain. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

A post-race urine sample was taken from Pixie Trixie - winner of the event. 

A pre-race urine sample was taken from Cruising Billy. 

Scotland Yard was quick to begin.

Cruising Billy underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the right hind leg - no stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Trainer - Mr. B. Pursell, regarding the racing manners of Cruising Billy approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Cruising Billy was charged with marring. Mr. Pursell pleaded guilty to the charge.  Cruising Billy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (first offence) at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.  Cruising Billy – Ordered to wear an anti–aggression muzzle in all future events in accordance with GAR 131.

Freddy Deeds (catching pen), underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury.

Field Day - New declared weight of 38.8kg, last raced at 40.1kg. 

Patch You Later was quick to begin.

A post-race urine sample was taken from Field Day - winner of the event. 

Born To Party was slow to begin.

Forbes LIghtning (severely checked and stumbled in the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury reported.

Literally (galloped on by Elphias Doge in the back straight and lost ground) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury reported. 

Saintly Highway and Forbes Lightning raced wide in the home straight.

Blackpool Ranger and Captain Alice were quick to begin.  Daphnee's Gold was slow to begin.

Gracilis (checked on the first turn and pulled up in the home straight and failed to complete the course), underwent a post-race veterinary examination.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to be injured in the right triangle muscle.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr. Mathew Tabb, regarding the racing manners of Gracilis in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Gracilis was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Tabb pleaded guilty to the charge. Gracilis was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks (second offence) and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A urine sample was taken from Need A Pilot upon arrival at the course. 

Tinker Norm was slow to begin.

Tinker Norm (lost ground in the back straight), underwent a post-race veterinary examination.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have a left triangle muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr. Craig Burns, regarding the overall performance of Tinker Norm in the event.  Pursuant to GAR 122, the Stewards requested Mr. Burns to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Tinker Norm in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.

A post-race urine sample was taken from Serial Sticker - winner of the event.

A pre-race urine sample was taken from Little Peg.
