Steward's Report
A pre-race swab sample was taken from Junior Whisky.
Fitler Bale and Cleo Blaze were slow out. Fitler Bale checked off the heels of Redmond Bale soon after the start. Redmond Bale checked off the heels of Junior Whisky on the first turn. Chopper Pilot and Lakeview Lad collided on the first turn checking Redmond Bale, Fitler Bale, Chopper Pilot and Cleo Blaze and causing Chopper Pilot to falter and subsequently pull up. Redmond Bale and Fitler Bale collided on the second turn and again entering the back straight checking Fitler Bale.
Chopper Pilot was vetted following the Event and after being revetted, Dr. Barbara Backhoy, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained a tear to the right triangle. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Backhoy, the Stewards will stand Chopper Pilot down from competing for 28 days.
A swab sample was taken from Silver Saul, the winner of the Event.
