Steward's Report
Sole Intent was a late scratching at 3.44 p.m. due to injury. Acting in accordance with AGRR 6(4), the Stewards will stand Sole Intent down from competing for 10 days.
Rubyrama and Kalimna Chief were slow out. Jemalong Opal was very slow out. Jemalong Opal raced wide in the front straight. Kalimna Chief hit the running rail on the first turn. Nyad Power and Ourboy Tony collided approaching the fifth turn. Kalimna Chief and Ourboy Tony collided on the fifth turn. Ourboy Tony checked off the heels of Kalimna Chief approaching the home turn.
Kalimna Chief was vetted following the Event and Dr. Barbara Backhoy, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right toe and left triangle muscle. Acting on a recommendation from Kalimna Chief, the Stewards will stand Kalimna Chief down from competing for 5 days.
Ourboy Tony was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Backhoy reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left wrist and the left stopper. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Backhoy, the Stewards will stand Ourboy Tony down from competing for 5 days.
A swab sample was taken from Total Denial, the winner of the Event.
