Steward's Report
A pre-race swab sample was taken from Magical Wizard.
Magical Magpie and Burnt Black Lav were slow out. Magical Magpie and Alby's Angel collided soon after the start. Backer's Choice and Winter collided soon after the start. Alby's Angel checked off the heels of Backer's Choice on the first turn. Backer's Choice and Winter collided approaching the second turn checking Meteor Bale and Alby's Angel. Magical Magpie hit the running rail on the second turn. Spikey Joe checked off the heels of Winter on the home turn checking Meteor Bale and Spikey Joe.
Magical Magpie was vetted following the Event and Dr. Barbara Backhoy, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound was found to be injured in the right wrist and right triangle muscle. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Backhoy, the Stewards will stand Magical Magpie down from competing for 10 days.
