Cintiarna was quick to begin. Happy Tiger was slow to begin. Croke Park and Happy Tiger collided soon after the start checking Happy Tiger. Arising and Oomoo collided approaching the first turn checking Oomoo and Happy Tiger. Happy Tiger checked off the heels of Oomoo approaching the second turn. Croke Park and Ultra Cool collided entering the back straight both greyhounds raced wide as a result. Croke Park and Ultra Cool collided on the third turn checking Croke Park. Arising was held up for a run approaching the home turn.
