Steward's Report
Darego and Daydreamer were slow to begin. Pedantic Babe, Cruising Cooper, Essman and Whirl Machine collided approaching the first turn checking Pedantic Babe and Cruising Cooper. Zonin crossed to the rail approaching the first turn and collided with Essman. Pedantic Babe and Cruising Cooper collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Pop Hand checked off the heels of Zonin approaching the second turn. Pop Hand and Whirl Machine collided entering the back straight checking Pop Hand. Zonin contacted the running rail on the third turn and lost ground as a result.
Daydreamer was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
Stewards spoke to Mr.L.Carter the trainer of Daydreamer and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the second turn.
Stewards deemed the performance of Daydreamer unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Daydreamer must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
