Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Smith, the Stewards will stand Sun Alert down from competing for 5 days. Stewards directed that a swab sample be taken from Sun Alert which finished in 5th position.

Bloss's Beau and Halls Wright were slow out. Halls Wright and Lucky Nero collided on the first turn. Ozenkadnook checked off the heels of Bloss's Beau on the second turn. Bloss's Beau and Lucky Nero collided on the home turn. A swab sample was taken from Choda Boy, the winner of the Event.
