Steward's Report
Promised Land was a late withdrawal at 3.50 p.m. due to illness. Acting in accordance with AGRR 6(4), the Stewards will stand Promised Land down from competing for 10 days.
Iron Blade was slow out. Flying Tango and Brad's Awesome collided soon after the start. Iron Blade, Inflamed and Amaroo Gift collided approaching the first turn. Inflamed and Flying Tango collided on the first turn. Iron Blade and Inflamed collided approaching the second turn. Iron Blade and Brad's Awesome collided in the home straight.
Flying Tango was vetted following the Event and after being revetted, Dr. Alistair Smith, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right pencil muscle and left calf. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Smith, the Stewards will stand Flying Tango down from competing for 5 days.
A swab sample was taken from Ange Jones, the winner of the Event.
