Steward's Report
Dunmarra Magic and Dixie Dunbar were slow out. Dilligaf, Dunmarra Magic and Melvyn Bale collided soon after the start. Sheoak Blue and Dixie Dunbar collided soon after the start. Dilligaf, Dunmarra Magic, Melvyn Bale, Bertundy Wright, Sheoak Blue and Dixie Dunbar collided approaching the first turn checking Dixie Dunbar. Dunmarra Magic and Melvyn Bale collided on the first turn. Bertundy Wright and Sheoak Blue collided on the first turn checking Sheoak Blue. Dunmarra Magic checked off the heels of Dilligaf on the third turn. Bertundy Wright, Sheoak Blue and Dixie Dunbar collided on the third turn. Dunmarra Magic checked off the heels of Dilligaf approaching the home turn. Dunmarra Magic galloped on the heels of Dilligaf on the home turn checking both greyhounds.
Dilligaf was vetted following the Event and Dr. Alistair Smith, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left hind and soreness to the left shoulder. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Smith, the Stewards will stand Dilligaf down from competing for 7 days.
