Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Bell, the Stewards will stand Jabber Wocky down from competing for 7 days. Stewards spoke to Handler, Michael Giles (representing Trainer - Peter Giles), regarding the disappointing performance of Jabber Wocky this evening. Mr. Giles told Stewards that he was also disappointed with the greyhound's run and could offer no explanation other than to state that the greyhound does not appear to be suited to The Meadows track as he was drawn well tonight as he performs at his best when drawn wide. Stewards issued a warning regarding the racing performance of Jabber Wocky and directed that a swab sample be taken from Jabber Wocky, which finished in 7th position. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Michelle Mallia-Magri, after it was reported that she had applied taping to Slick Galore in the parade area. Ms. Mallia-Magri was reminded her of her responsibilities to ensure that taping is applied prior to her greyhounds competing and in the confines of the kennel block.

Acting in accordance with GAR30, Stewards fined Trainer, Con Maniatis, the sum of $100 and will stand World Champ Camp down from competing for 28 days. Newsmaker, Awesome Molly and Aaron's Vialie were slow out. Awesome Molly checked off the heels of Aaron's Vialie soon after the start. Love A Gossip and Placaleena collided on the first turn. Don Coco, Arejay Ace, Voluptuous Vixen and Rylee's Reward collided on the first turn checking Arejay Ace, Ray Reltub, Supa Snoop and Donaghadee. Voluptuous Vixen checked off the heels of Hyde Park on the first turn. Voluptuous Vixen raced wide entering the front straight checking Voluptuous Vixen and Rylee's Reward. Rylee's Reward was vetted following the event and Dr. Michael Bell, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that he could find no injury apparent with the greyhound. Voluptuous Vixen was vetted following the event and Dr. Bell reported the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Bell, the Stewards will stand Voluptuous Vixen down from competing for 5 days. Arejay Ace was also vetted following the event and Dr. Bell reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right back muscle and recommended the greyhound be stood down from competing for 5 days. Stewards charged Arejay Ace in contravention of GAR96(2) for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment in the front straight. After taking evidence from Trainer, Mr. B.J. Iredale, and taking into account the injuries sustained to the greyhound, the Stewards invoked GAR98(1)(d) in lieu of GAR96(2) and will require the greyhound to perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will again be accepted.

Race 7: Racing in The North 525M Billane Boy was slow out. Junior's Gypsy, Return The King, Gun Striker and Gozo Zeppa collided on the first turn checking Return The King, Gun Striker and Gozo Zeppa. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Bell, the Stewards will stand Zazzman down from competing for 30 days. Stewards issued a warning to Licensed Attendant, Mr. Ken MacKellin, for failing to catch Auto Express for this event after being engaged by Trainer, Mr. Ron Hood.
