Race 6: AWM Electrical 600M Supa Snoop was slow out. Voluptuous Vixen and Rylee's Reward collided approaching the first turn. Don Coco, Arejay Ace, Voluptuous Vixen and Rylee's Reward collided on the first turn checking Arejay Ace, Ray Reltub, Supa Snoop and Donaghadee. Voluptuous Vixen checked off the heels of Hyde Park on the first turn. Voluptuous Vixen raced wide entering the front straight checking Voluptuous Vixen and Rylee's Reward. Arejay Ace eased in the front straight checking Voluptuous Vixen. Arejay Ace and Voluptuous Vixen collided on the second turn. Ray Reltub was held up for a run on the fourth turn. Ray reltub contacted the running rail on the fourth turn. Don Coco and Ray Reltub collied on the home turn. Voluptuous Vixen and Rylee's Reward collided in the home straight. Rylee's Reward was vetted following the event and Dr. Michael Bell, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that he could find no injury apparent with the greyhound. Voluptuous Vixen was vetted following the event and Dr. Bell reported the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Bell, the Stewards will stand Voluptuous Vixen down from competing for 5 days. Arejay Ace was also vetted following the event and Dr. Bell reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right back muscle and recommended the greyhound be stood down from competing for 5 days. Stewards charged Arejay Ace in contravention of GAR96(2) for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment in the front straight. After taking evidence from Trainer, Mr. B.J. Iredale, and taking into account the injuries sustained to the greyhound, the Stewards invoked GAR98(1)(d) in lieu of GAR96(2) and will require the greyhound to perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will again be accepted.
