Hoover Majic was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor mouth wound, no stand down period was imposed.. Acting under GAR 69(1)(a) Steward's charged Hoover Majic with marring and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Traralgon and directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 8 minutes after the boxes failed to open. All greyhounds were vetted and passed fit to race. This event was hand started. Reckless Surfer was a late scratching at 2.44pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to injury. Major Shiraz and Raken Inn were slow out.
