Steward's Report
The start of this event was delayed by approximately 8 minutes after the boxes failed to open. All greyhounds were vetted and passed fit to race. This event was hand started.
Swoopin' Destroy and Just Bubba were slow out. Kununurra Boy crossed to the outside on the first turn checking Texas Willis, Good Oil and Batnap. Texas Willis and Just Bubba collided entering the front straight. Kununurra Boy and Swoopin' Destroy collided in the front straight checking Kununurra Boy. Swoopin' Destroy galloped on the heels of Fresco Flyer approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Fresco Flyer and Swoopin' Destroy collided approaching the home turn. Kununurra Boy and Texas Willis collided on the home turn. Swoopin' Destroy and Just Bubba collided in the home straight severely checking Swoopin' Destroy which stumbled as a result severely checking Fresco Flyer.
Texas Willis was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a split webbing on the left hind foot, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
