Monkey Ranch was slow out. Kardinia Park and Kiowa Bee collided soon after the start checking Kiowa Bee. Jay O'Mac, Bees Wax and Kardinia Park collided approaching the first turn. Bees Wax and Kiowa Bee collided approaching the first turn. Paris Angel checked off the heels of Kardinia Park on the first turn checking Kiowa Bee. Jay O'Mac and Hotwire Miss collided approaching the second turn checking Kardinia Park. Monkey Ranch checked off the heels of Bees Wax on the second turn. Monkey Ranch and Kiowa Bee collided on the home turn.
Jay O'Mac was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained mild soreness to the left back muscle, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards issued a warning to Miss K. Minnie, Handler of Jay O'Mac regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.
