Cool Thoughts, Alby Morris and Tornado Max were slow out. Tornado Max checked off the heels of Bustop soon after the start. Zannaman raced wide approaching the first turn. Alby Morris and Tornado Max collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Wes Mantooth, Eagle Rocker and Bustop collided approaching the first turn checking Eagle Rocker. Pretty Spiffy eased on the first turn and collided with Zannaman as a result. Alby Morris galloped on the heels of Pretty Spiffy on the first turn severely checking Alby Morris and causing Pretty Spiffy to fall. Tornado Max checked off the heels of Zannaman approaching the second turn. Tornado Max and Eagle Rocker collided on the third turn and again approaching the home turn. Alby Morris was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained mild soreness to the left back muscle, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Pretty Spiffy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both triangles and both back muscles, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR69(5), Stewards charged Pretty Spiffy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, before any future nomination will be accepted.
