Steward's Report
Dee Prince, Truly Lively, Cognitive and Tullian Bale were slow out. Tuly Lively and Cognitive collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Cognitive. Dee Prince, Currency Molly and Tullian Bale collided on the first turn checking Dee Prince, Tullian Bale and Brothers Bard. Truly Lively raced wide on the first turn. Cognitive contacted the running rail on the first turn and stumbled as a result. Truly Lively raced wide in the back straight. Cognitive faltered approaching the home turn and subsequently tailed off. Mepunga Wild and Truly Lively raced wide in the home straight.
Cognitive was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained suspected cramping, no stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr C. Brett, Trainer of Cognitive. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, before any future nomination will be accepted.
