Moonambel Power, Sianna Way, Barbies Galore and Liquid Rush were slow out. Moonambel Power and Lansley Blue collided soon after the start. Barbies Galore and Liquid Rush collided soon after the start. Sianna Way checked off the heels of Lansley Blue on the first turn causing Sianna Way to brush the running rail. Brookside Bullet and Riverdale Katie collided on the first turn. Moonambel Power checked off the heels of Riverdale Katie on the first turn. Barbies Galore raced wide approaching the second turn. Lansley Blue and Liquid Rush collided on the second turn. Lansley Blue checked off the heels of Moonambel Power on the third turn checking Gomez Jackson, Barbies Galore and Liquid Rush. Brookside Bullet eased on the home turn checking Moonambel Power. Moonambel Power and Lansley Blue collided entering the home straight. Sianna Way and Liquid Rush collided entering the home straight. Brookside Bullet was vetted following the Event and after being revetted, Dr. Michael Bell, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that he could find no injury apparent with the greyhound. Stewards charged Brookside Bullet under AGRR 80.2 for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment on the home turn. After taking evidence from Trainer, Tina Womann, acting on their own observations and viewing the official video film, the Stewards found Brookside Bullet guilty as charged. Acting in accordance with AGRR 81.1, the Stewards will stand Brookside Bullet down from competing for 28 days at The Meadows only and will require the greyhound to perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will again be accepted. In assessing this matter, the Stewards took into consideration that the greyhound had been placed on Satisfactory Trials in accordance with AGRR 85 at its previous starts at Warrnambool on 26 July, 2000 and Geelong on 6 April, 2001 where it was established that the greyhound had cramped during its performances.
