Steward's Report
McLaran was slow to begin. Hero Octane, White Lexus and Runaway Bride collided soon after the start checking White Lexus. White Lexus and Nanhurst collided approaching the first turn. Runaway Bride crossed to the rail on the first turn checking McLaran and Claretown Force. White Lexus and Claretown Force collided on the first turn checking White Lexus and Nanhurst. Georgia Jane and Hero Octane collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Fiveway Arandt checked off Hero Octane in the home straight and collided with McLaran. McLaran and Hero Octane collided approaching the winning post. Hero Octane and Georgia Jane collided approaching the winning post. Runaway Bride eased and collided with Georgia Jane approaching the winning post.
Runaway Bride was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left hock, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(5), the stewards charged Runaway Bride with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a satifactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(6), before any future nomination will be accepted.
