Steward's Report
Belushi – Late scratching at 10:50am due to weight variation (GAR 101). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr. Dean Bailey was fined $100.
Pursuant to GAR 75(6), starter Mr. G Dalton did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way affected the outcome of this event.
Black Prestige and Lady Montana were slow to begin.
Lady Montana turned it's head outwards approaching the winning post. Underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 6, no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Phillip Repici regarding Lady Montana's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Lady Montana was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Repici pleaded guilty to the charge. Lady Montana was suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
