Steward's Report
Compton Gumdrops – Late scratching at 10:27am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted. Stewards spoke to Mr. Joseph Sultana after he presented Compton Gumdrops to race with an injury. Mr. Sultana was issued with a $250 fine in accordance with GAR 76(1)(a) and advised to conduct a thorough examination of his greyhounds prior to the appointed scratching time to ensure that they are free from injury.
Exiled and Be Yourself were quick to begin.
