Steward's Report
Can Of Worms, Oriental Tsunami and Moroccan Train were slow to begin. Have No Fear, Pentapod and Grace The Ace collided on the first turn, checking Grace The Ace and Can Of Worms. Have No Fear, Pentapod and Moroccan Train collided in the back straight, checking Have No Fear, Pentapod and Oriental Tsunami. Grace The Ace and Pentapod collided on the second turn, checking Grace The Ace and Can Of Worms. Boppin' Dazzler marred the running of Black Promise approaching the winning post.
Boppin' Dazzler was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left shoulder and triangle muscles, a day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Flynn, the trainer of the greyhound Boppin' Dazzler regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Boppin' Dazzler with marring. Mr Flynn pleaded not guilty to the charge, Boppin' Dazzler was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 12 months (all tracks) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(c), before any future nomination will be accepted.
