Lizzibee and Enticed State collided approaching the first turn. Jack's King and Enticed State collided approaching the home turn and on the home turn checking Jack's King. Jack's King tailed off in the home straight and pulled up.

Stewards spoke to  K. Quinn, the trainer of the greyhound Jack's King regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Jack's King was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shoulder, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Jack's King with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). K. Quinn pleaded guilty to the charge, Jack's King was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Noddin Off and Trakker Lass collided approaching the first turn checking Trakker Lass. Deep Rock and All Prancer collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. All Prancer checked off Deep Rock on the first turn. Slow Cooker and All Prancer collided approaching the home turn checking Slow Cooker.

Slow Cooker was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Alouette Magic crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Kadali, Treadstone Cain, Mufasa Pride and Super Wicked. Super Wicked and Mufasa Pride collided on the first turn checking Super Wicked. Kadali checked off Praha entering the back straight severely checking Kadali which stumbled and lost ground as a result. Treadstone Cain and Alouette Magic collided approaching the home turn. Treadstone Cain and Vapour Patch collided entering the home straight.

Kadali was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.

Sniffer Grange was slow to begin.

Corgi Cry and Jemlee collided soon after the start. Lachy Sox checked off Dr. Waldo on the first turn. Dr. Waldo checked off Jemlee approaching the home turn checking Corgi Cry. Sniffer Grange and Spiral Bek collided approaching the home turn checking Sniffer Grange which raced wide as a result.

Shadow Lea was quick to begin.

Merlot Magic and Bang Bang Gal collided soon after the start. Ty's Little Lad, Merlot Magic and Bang Bang Gal collided soon after the start checking Ty's Little Lad. Chainsaw Charlie galloped on the heels of Ty's Little Lad approaching the first turn severely checking both greyhounds. Shadow Lea and Merlot Magic collided on the home turn.

Macburner, Magic Of Beam and Liliana collided soon after the start. Slipaway Jenifer and Sinking Ship collided on the first turn checking Sinking Ship. Magic Of Beam and Funky Star collided on the first turn. Magic Of Beam galloped on the heels of Funky Star approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Liliana and Magic Of Beam collided approaching the home turn.

P Desmond, trainer of Baffle Plate redeclared a new weight of 32.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Baffle Plate last raced at 31.2kgs.

Baffle Plate was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left shoulder and the right thigh. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to handler L Wright regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Why Not Oscar. Stewards directed that Why Not Oscar be boxed first in future events.

Trainer N. Karakasidis was fined the sum of $50 for his failure to produce the registration papers/card for the greyhound Queen Hera pursuant to GAR 33.

Whirly Drill, Lucy Come Home and Flossy Thelly collided soon after the start.
