Steward's Report
Wage Earner was quick to begin. Cal's Sensation and Rip Sam were slow to begin.
Rio Sam faltered at the 150m mark and subsequently pulled up, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left triangle, left back muscle and left groin. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Wage Earner faltered at the 50m mark and lost ground, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right front flexor tendon injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs Julie Green regarding the racing manners of Wage Earner soon after the start. After hearing submissions from Mrs. Green, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
