Steward's Report
Deadly Boy was quick to begin. Zipping Maggie and Space Star were slow to begin. Roethlisberger checked off Perfect Tess soon after the start. Wind Whistler, Perfect Tess and Space Star collided on the first turn checking Perfect Tess. Grifter Bale checked off Perfect Tess on the first turn. Deadly Boy and Wind Whistler collided approaching the home turn. Grifter Bale raced wide on the home turn. Deadly Boy eased in the home straight. Deadly Boy and Space Star collided approaching the winning post.
Deadly Boy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Walsh, the handler of the greyhound Deadly Boy regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Deadly Boy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. L. Walsh pleaded guilty to the charge, Deadly Boy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(A)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
