Baby's Rattle was a late scratching at 3:12pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer D. Cortese was fined the sum of $100.

Hypo Skye was quick to begin. Racing Ruby was slow to begin. Arvo's Leo checked off Magic Meehan soon after the start. Simple checked off Twelve Steps approaching the first turn. Racing Ruby and Arvo's Leo collided approaching the first turn, checking Arvo's Leo. Simple race wide entering the home straight.

Simple was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left thigh injury; a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Che Road prior to kennelling upon arrival at the course.

Exford Rookie, Trouble Reigns and Smiley Girl were slow to begin. Trouble Reigns and Smiley Girl collided soon after the start, checking Trouble Reigns. Ela Mimi checked off Che Road approaching the first turn. Black Ops checked off Che Road on the first turn. Black Ops checked off Exford Rookie approaching the home turn. Trouble Reigns checked off Smiley Girl approaching the home turn. Trouble Reigns lost ground on the home turn. Smiley Girl checked off Ela Mimi on the home turn, checking Black Ops. Che Road crossed to the outside on the home turn and collided with Exford Rookie, checking both greyhounds. 

Trouble Reigns was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Wind Whistler, Whodat Knockin' and Recruitment were slow to begin. Strange Wish crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Allen Malik and Survivor Sal. Mepunga Fearon, Survivor Sal, Allen Malik and Strange Wish collided approaching the first turn, checking Strange Wish, Mepunga Fearon, Wind Whistler, Allen Malik and severely checking Survivor Sal. Mepunga Fearon checked off Wind Whistler approaching the second turn. Allen Malik checked off Wind Whistler on the second turn. Survivor Sal and Allen Malik collided entering the home straight.

Alex's Entity and Oakvale Flyer collided approaching the first turn. Oakvale Flyer and Kicking Rocks collided apporaching the first turn, checking Kicking Rocks. Alex's Entity and Hostile collided on the first turn, checking Hostile and Ride The Rails. Oakvale Flyer and Hailstorm Billy collided approaching the seond turn.

Avondale Porche was quick to begin. Maximus Glider was slow to begin. Mepunga Moss, Keybow, Bit Berger and Dyna Geldof collided soon after the start, checking Keybow. Bit Berger crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Mepunga Moss and Keybow. Explosive Angel, Wynburn Wizrd, Bit Berger and Dyna Geldof collided approaching the first turn, checking Explosive Angel, Wynburn Wizard, BIt Berger, Mepunga Moss and Keybow; Mepunga Moss raced wide as a result approaching the second turn. Wynburn Wizrd checked off Maximus Glider approaching the second turn.

Bunga Bunga crossed to the rail soon after the start and again approaching the first turn, checking Banjo Boy, Cosmic Wise, Where's The Surf and Dr. Des. Bunga Bunga clipped the heels of Ibrox Digger entering the home straight. Where's The Surf and Bunga BUnga collided entering the home straight. Where's The Surf checked off Zambora Magic in the home straight.

Classic Nitro was quick to begin, Classic Nitro, Kiss Me Ketut and Turbo Norris collided approaching the first turn. Oakvale Destiny and Nifty Neveelk collided approaching the first turn. Classic Nitro, Oakvale Destiny, Nifty Neveelk and Joey Valdez collided on the first turn. Classic Nitro and Joey Valdez collided on the second turn. Oakvale Destiny and Turbo Norris collided on the third turn, checking Turbo Norris. Nifty Neveelk, Kiss Me Ketut and Turbo Norris collided approaching the home turn. Classic Nitro and Turbo Norris collided on the home turn. Classic Nitro checked off Turbo Norris entering the home straight.

Marcus Joe was slow to begin. Eliza Blanche crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Weblec Belle, Marcus Joe, Beckenbauer, Athos and Eliza Blanche. Bazza's Gift checked off Sonic Pirate approaching the first turn. Bazza's Gift checked off Beckenbauer on the first turn. Sonic Pirate and Weblec Belle collided on the third turn.

Kynan's Magic, Phaser Bale, Senor Gold and Hard Urned Burst were slow to begin. Twistex and Go Zeppa collided approaching the first turn, checking Go Zeppa. Kynan's Magic checked off Fine Diner approaching the first turn. Senor Gold galloped on Kynan's Magic approaching the home turn, checking Kynan's Magic, Senor Gold and Hard Urned Burst. Phaser Bale clipped the heels of Go Zeppa approaching the home turn. Go Zeppa checked off Fine Diner approaching the home turn.

Phaser Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.  

A pre-race sample was taken from One Bad Wrist prior to kennelling upon arrival at the course.

O. McGovern, trainer of Yellowrock Magic redeclared a new weight of 32.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).Yellowrock Magic last raced at 34.2kg.

Yellowrock Magic was a late scratching at 6:34pm due to injury(chest). A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Elite Watch was quick to begin. Shameless Bandit raced wide on the first turn, checking Danyo's Slappy. Koko Kola and Danyo's Slappy collided on the first turn. Danyo's Slappy clipped the heels of Koko Kola on the home turn. Shameless Bandit raced wide in the home straight. 

Radinka Bale was quick to begin. Audreana checked off Radinka Bale soon after the start. Oscar's Champ, Zipping Electra, Make That Call, Paramount Arrow and Dozer Tron collided approaching the first turn, checking Zipping Electra, Make That Call and Paramount Arrow. Dozer Tron checked off Oscar's Champ approaching the home turn. Tornado Angel and Radinka Bale collided on the home turn. Zipping Electra checked off Paramount Arrow on the home turn. Tornado Angel checked off Audreana entering the home straight. 

S. Elmes, trainer of Portland Chase redeclared a new weight of Portland Chase for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Portland Chase last raced at 27.9kg.

Noaki Lynx, On Flyer and Subbeha were quick to begin. Portland Chase, All Starzar and Abit Late collided soon after the start, checking All Starzar and Abit Late. Colliport, Portland Chase and On Flyer collided approaching the first turn, checking Portland Chase. Portland Chase and Smashing Success collied on the first turn, checking Smashing Success and severely checking Portland Chase which tailed off as a result. Noaki Lynx checked off Subbeha on the home turn. All Starzar and Abit Late collided several times in the home straight, checking All Starzar and Smashing Success. Colliport and Subbeha collided approaching the winning post.

Portland Chase was vetted and revetted following the event.It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left Monkey Muscle; a 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to S. Elmes, the handler of the greyhound Portland Chase. Stewards deemed the performance of Portland Chase unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed tha tPortland Chase must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
