An Out of Competition Sample was taken from  Direct Hit engaged in this event on the 30th of December, 2014 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Honeycomb Smooth and Bush Wacked were slow to begin. Tiger Eyed Jack and May It Be collided several times soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Tiger Eyed Jack and May It Be collided approaching the first turn, checking Tiger Eyed Jack and Honeycomb Smooth. Bush Waked raced wide on the first turn. Direct Hit clipped the heels of Vulcan Rose on the second turn. Vulcan Rose and Direct Hit collided on the third turn. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Move The Target.

Move The Target and Cigar Sam were quick to begin, Shrek's Fantasy was slow to begin. Hold On Nitro, Brenda Brae and Malted collided soon after the start. Brenda Brae and Malted collided approaching the first turn. Move The Target, Cigar Sam and Sanzman collided on the first turn, checking Sanzman and severely checking Cigar Sam. Hold On Nitro checked off Cigar Sam on the first turn. Malted, Brenda Brae and Frisky Colour collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds. Brenda Brae and Frisky Colour collided on the first turn, checking Frisky Colour which contacted the running rail, eased and subsequently pulled up. Malted checked off Cigar Sam entering the back straight. 

Shrek's Fantasy was vetted and re-vetted following event 4. It was reported that there was no apparent inhury found. Stewards spoke to Mr. Jacob Lesjak, the handler of the greyhound Shrek's Fantasy.  Stewards deemed the performance of Shrek's Fantasy unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Shrek's Fantasy must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Frisky Colour was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle injury; a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Frisky Colour with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. J. Reynolds pleaded guilty to the charge, Frisky Colour was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Cigar Sam was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards issued a warning to Mr. M. Briganti, the trainer of Cigar Sam regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.

Andy Jay, Jokowi, Myziel and Mine Craft were slow to begin. Sir Tex, Andy Jay and Sir Pendlebury collided approaching the first turn, checking Andy Jay. Jokowi and Myziel collided approaching the first turn, checking Myziel. Sir Tex, Splash Mountain and Francol collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Francol and Sir Tex. Jokowi galloed on Sir Pendelbury on the first, severely checking Sir Pendelbury, Jokowi and Myziel; Myziel stumbled as a result. Andy Jay checked off Sir Tex on the first turn. Sir Tex, Andy Jay and Myziel collided on the first turn, checking Myziel which raced wide. Jokowi, Sir Tex and Andy Jay collided approaching the seocnd turn, checking Sir Tex and Jokowi. 

Sir Pendelbury was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Buckle Up Axel, Why Not Franklin and Moon And Back were slow to begin. Kaitoke Diamond, Willowvale Fox and Buckle Up Axel collided soon after the start. Willowvale Fox, Buckle Up Axel, Why Not Franklin and Moon And Back collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Why Not Franklin and Buckle Up Axel; Why Not Franklin raced wide as a result. Six Green Thumbs and Mendes collided on the first turn, checking Mendes. Willowvale Fox raced wide approaching the second turn. Buckle Up Axel and Moon And Back collided approaching the second turn, checking Moon And Back. Why Not Franklin checked off Moon And Back on the second turn. 

Daintree Puzzle was quick to begin. Alexis Kelton and Bernmar Nitro were slow to begin. Adam Handler crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Aqua Vitae, Mermaid Little and collided with Daintee Puzzle. Bernmar Nitro raced wide on the first turn. Aqua Vitae and Chucka Bone collided on the first turn. Chucka Bone clipped the heels of Aqua Vitae in the back straight. Chucka Bone contacted the running rail on the home turn. 

He Throws Bombs were slow to begin. Gunloch and Cooler Colour collided soon aftre the start. Our Spinner, Ima River Boy and Four Elements collided approaching the first turn, checking Four Elements. Miss Monteya, Gunloch, Cooler Colour, Little Boy Sad and Our Spinner collided on the first turn, checking Little Boy Sad, He Throws Bombs, Our Spinner, Cooler Colour and Gunloch. Four Elements contacted the running rail on the first turn. Miss Monteya, Gunloch, Cooler Colour and Our Spinner collided approaching the second turn, checking Cooler Colour, causing Our Spinner to fall and severely checking He Throws Bombs which stumbled. Cooler Colour and Little Boy Sad collided on the first turn, severely checking Cooler Colour. Miss Monteya and Gunloch collided approaching the home turn. Gunloch checked off Miss Monteya in the home straight. Little Boy Sad checked off Four Elements in the home straight.  

Our Spinner was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left triangle and a right thigh injury; a 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Dr. Mortisha and My Zephyr were quick to begin. Why Not Heather and American Muscle collided several times approaching the first turn. Dr. Mortisha, Riley's Charm and Got The Picture collided on the first turn, severely checking Got The Picture, She's Yours and Lilypad. Why Not Heather checked off Dr. Mortisha on the second turn, checking American Muscle. Why Not Heather raced wide in the back straight, causing American Muscle to race wide. Lilypad crossed to the rail approaching the home turn, checking American Muscle and Why Not Heather.

American Muscle was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury; a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Dora's Hand and Blingified collided soon aftre the start. Willowvale Hawk and Akina Akeira collided approaching the first turn, checking Akina Akeira. Dora's Hand, Blingified and Tell Me Ma collided on the first turn, checking Blingified. Dora's Hand and Talk's Cheeky collided on the second turn. Tell Me Ma and Dora's Hand collided on the second turn, checking Tell Me Ma. Dora's Hand and Talk's Cheeky collided on the second turn.
