S. Drummond, trainer of Monaleen Comet redeclared a new weight of 28.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Monaleen Comet last raced at 29.7kg.
Prince Of Monaco was slow to begin. Charlie's Man and Monaleen Comet collided approaching the first turn checking Monaleen Comet; Monaleen Comet tailed off as a result. Charlie's Man and Vincent's Fury collided on the first turn severely checking Charlie's Man. Dollar Spot, Uncontrollable and Valencia Miss collided on the first turn checking Dollar Spot and Valencia Miss. Vincent's Fury and Tina Lee collided approaching the home turn checking Vincent's Fury. Charlie's Man raced wide on the home turn. Dollar Spot, Tina Lee and Prince Of Monaco collided approaching the winning post.
Charlie's Man was vetted following the event and after being revetted following race 12, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Monaleen Comet was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left shoulder. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
