Cruising Thyme was slow to begin.  Deep Rock and Berri Lass collided soon after the start checking Deep Rock.  Cruising Thyme and Lilac Evening collided approaching the first turn.  Wasem Twist and Ladies Kay collided approaching the home turn severely checking Ladies Kay.  Berri Lass galloped on the heels of Ladies Kay approaching the home turn.  All Vapour and Hermoso collided approaching the home turn.  Cruising Thyme and Berri Lass collided on the home turn checking Lilac Evening and severely checking Cruising Thyme and Berri Lass; Cruising Thyme stumbled as a result.  Wasem Twist veered out and marred the running of All Vapour several times in the home straight severely checking All Vapour, Hermoso and Wasem Twist.  Wasem Twist galloped on the heels of Hermoso in the home straight severely checking Hermoso and Wasem Twist; Wasem Twist stumbled as a result. 

Cruising Thyme was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right shoulder.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Berri Lass was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left thigh and right shoulder.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Wasem Twist was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left shoulder.  A 10 day stand down down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Slade, the trainer of the greyhound Wasem Twist regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Wasem Twist with marring.  Mr. B. Slade pleaded guilty to the charge.  Wasem Twist was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Katie Sullivan was quick to begin.  Kiola Lachlan, Kadali and Reigning Thrill collided approaching the first turn checking Kadali and Reigning Thrill.  Reigning Thrill checked off Kiola Lachlan approaching the first turn.  Kiola Lachlan checked off Katie Sullivan on the second turn.  Katie Sullivan checked off Viva Maria on the second turn.  Kadali and Jordy's Girl collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking both greyhounds; Jordy's Girl raced wide as a result.

Stewards spoke to D. Field regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Flashing Billy. Stewards directed that Flashing Billy be boxed first in future events.

Railway Conder, Jack's Brutus and Arvo's Violet were slow to begin.  Spence Millions, Kayla's Effort and Ice Cold Bundy collided soon after the start checking Kayla's Effort.  Ice Cold Bundy and Red Bomber collided approaching the first turn checking Ice Cold Bundy.  Spence Millions checked off Ice Cold Bundy on the first turn checking Railway Conder, Jack's Brutus and Arvo's Violet.  Ice Cold Bundy checked off Red Bomber approaching the home turn.  Railway Conder and Ice Cold Bundy collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.  Jack's Brutus checked off Arvo's Violet in the home straight.

Master Of Time was slow to begin.  Barbie Boy and Barjas collided soon after the start checking Barjas.  Run Sophie Run checked off Go Wild Phil approaching the first turn.  Eddy Goes Bang and Go Wild Phil collided on the first turn.  Eddy Goes Bang checked off Cruisen Billy on the first turn.  Barbie Boy, Barjas and Go Wild Phil collided approaching the home turn severely checking Barbie Boy and Go Wild Phil.  Cruisen Billy raced wide on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to K. Ward, trainer regarding the handler's  difficulty in boxing the greyhound Go Wild Phil.  Stewards directed that Go Wild Phil be boxed first in future events.

Kevaud's Girl was slow to begin.  Julie Fozz, We're Hopeful and Lone Survivor collided on the first turn.  Lone Survivor checked off Arktika entering the back straight.  Kevaud's Girl checked off Lone Survivor entering the back straight.  Lone Survivor raced wide in the back straight.  Proceed and Crowdza Talking collided in the back straight and again approaching the second turn.  Proceed and Lone Survivor collided approaching the home turn.  Lone Survivor and Arktika collided on the home turn.

Planetman went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Not Disguised was slow to begin.  Ice Cossack and Cattogio collided soon after the start.  Planetman, Ice Cossack, Soho Goodwill and Cattogio collided on the first turn checking Planetman.  Cattogio and Southern Blaze collided approaching the home turn.  Planetman and Ice Cossack collided on the home turn.  Soho Goodwill and Cowboy Jury collided entering the home straight.  Cattogio and Southern Blaze raced wide in the home straight.

Our Arandt and Keith's Fiasco collided soon after the start checking Keith's Fiasco.  Where's Red and Regal Villain collided soon after the start checking Regal Villain.  Jack's Prince, Where's Red, Regal Villain and War Talk collided soon after the start checking Where's Red and Regal Villain.  Run Right Back and Our Arandt collided approaching the first turn checking Our Arandt.  Jack's Prince and War Talk collided approaching the first turn checking War Talk.  Where's Red checked off Regal Villain on the first turn.  Run Right Back checked off Jack's Prince on the first turn.  War Talk, Regal Villain and Our Arandt collided on the first turn checking Regal Villain.  Keith's Fiasco checked off Where's Red approaching the home turn.  Run Right Back and How Time Fly's collided in the home straight checking How Time Fly's.  Where's Red clipped the heels of How Time Fly's approaching the winning post.

S. Drummond, trainer of Monaleen Comet redeclared a new weight of 28.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Monaleen Comet last raced at 29.7kg. 

Prince Of Monaco was slow to begin.  Charlie's Man and Monaleen Comet collided approaching the first turn checking Monaleen Comet; Monaleen Comet tailed off as a result.  Charlie's Man and Vincent's Fury collided on the first turn severely checking Charlie's Man.  Dollar Spot, Uncontrollable and Valencia Miss collided on the first turn checking Dollar Spot and Valencia Miss.  Vincent's Fury and Tina Lee collided approaching the home turn checking Vincent's Fury.  Charlie's Man raced wide on the home turn.  Dollar Spot, Tina Lee and Prince Of Monaco collided approaching the winning post.

Charlie's Man was vetted following the event and after being revetted following race 12, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Monaleen Comet was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left shoulder.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A. Panetta, trainer of Added Bonus redeclared a new weight of 29.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Added Bonus last raced at 27.8kg.

Added Bonus and Slipaway Jenifer collided soon after the start checking Slipaway Jenifer.  Slipaway Simba, Super Hot and Added Bonus collided approaching the first turn checking Added Bonus.  Slipaway Simba checked off Reverie approaching the first turn.  Slipaway Simba and Added Bonus collided on the first turn.  Matty's Caravan and Onyx Black collided on the first turn.  Slipaway Jenifer checked off Matty's Caravan on the first turn.  Matty's Caravan raced wide entering the home straight.

Junebug crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Rumbling Fury, Claretown Mae and Bad Boy Brutus.  Bad Boy Brutus, Junebug, Darley Tuesday and Urban Rock Star collided on the first turn checking Darley Tuesday and Froffies.  Junebug, Rumbling Fury, Darley Tuesday abd Froffies collided approaching the home turn severely checking all four greyhounds.  Froffies raced wide on the home turn.  Urban Rock Star raced wide in the home straight.

Rumbling Fury was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Froffies was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left thigh and left wrist.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Darley Tuesday was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Diamond Minx and Don's Legend were quick to begin.  Angel's Chief was slow to begin.  Santa, Remo Coffee and Calippo Man collided soon after the start.  Santa and Remo Coffee collided approaching the first turn.  Don's Legend checked off Diamond Minx in the home straight checking Lipstick Stain.

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Superliner trialled over the 390 metres from box 1, weight 33.0 kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.24. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.75 lengths. Superliner was cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Just Vivacious trialled over the 390 metres from box 8, weight 27.1 kgs.  The greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.24. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10.25 lengths (the greyhound received a severe check on the first turn).  Just Vivacious was cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Shanlyn Jed trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 6, weight 32.8 kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.24.  The greyhound won by a margin of 4.75 lengths. Shanlyn Jed was cleared.
