Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed ‘Heat Affected’. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 23.5 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.3 degrees. Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue, as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Twilight Hugo, Silver Streak and Insubordinate were quick to begin. Moon Stroller was slow to begin.
Noir Satin made contact with the rail on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the right tibia and a left hamstring strain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
