Be Hopeful and Kuschy's Krypto were slow to begin. Cosmic Creation crossed to the inside soon after the start checking El Huracan and Matalino Twist and colliding with Kewin Up; Cosmic Creation and Kewin Up were checked as a result. Kewin Up, El Huracan and Cosmic Creation collided approaching the first turn checking El Huracan. Kewin Up and Matalino Twist collided approaching the home turn checking Matalino Twist. Kewin Up raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight. Kewin Up checked off Wild West Stress in the home straight checking El Huracan.
