Be Hopeful and Kuschy's Krypto were slow to begin.  Cosmic Creation crossed to the inside soon after the start checking El Huracan and Matalino Twist and colliding with Kewin Up; Cosmic Creation and Kewin Up were checked as a result.  Kewin Up, El Huracan and Cosmic Creation collided approaching the first turn checking El Huracan.  Kewin Up and Matalino Twist collided approaching the home turn checking Matalino Twist.  Kewin Up raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.  Kewin Up checked off Wild West Stress in the home straight checking El Huracan.

Ryan Brook and Nerobelle were slow to begin.  Rio Rita, Western Reign, Black Rum and Kadali collided soon after the start.  Western Reign and Nerobelle collided on the first turn checking Western Reign.  Black Rum checked off Rio Rita in the back straight severely checking Kadali.  Kadali and Western Reign collided on the second turn.  Evelisa and Western Reign collided on the home turn.  Black Rum checked off Evelisa on the home turn severely checking Black Rum and Flashing Billy; Black Rum and Flashing Billy raced wide as a result.  Evelisa and Western Reign collided in the home straight.

Evelisa was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 8, it was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to it's right shoulder and left calf.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Slipaway Kessa was quick to begin.  Soft Ballad and Dynamite Diva were slow to begin.  Stinga Rebel and Cairnlea Flash collided soon after the start checking Stinga Rebel.  Lily Black, Fear Her and Dynamite Diva collided soon after the start checking Lily Black and Fear Her.  Lily Black checked off Dynamite Diva on the first turn.  Nindigully Boy and Cairnlea Flash collided on the home turn.  Lily Black and Soft Ballad collided in the home straight checking Soft Ballad.  Nindigully Boy checked off Cairnela Flash in the home straight.

Dynamite Diva was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to it's left hind foot.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Ellie Dunbar was a late scratching at 8:35 am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Go Rockin Teddy was a late scratching at 11:34 am due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Spa Jangles trialled over the 450m from box 1, weight 32.8 kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.94, the greyhound won by a margin of 5 lengths . Spa Jangles was Cleared.
