Nifty Nefertiti and Spider Silva were quick to begin. Croky Boy and Spider Silva collided soon after the start checking Croky Boy. Idol Factor, Our Spirit and Dugan collided soon after the start checking Our Spirit. Croky Boy, Idol Factor and Our Spirit collided soon after the start checking Idol Factor and Our Spirit. Hoss crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Nifty Nefertiti, Spider Silva and Elite Tulip. Idol Factor and Our Spirit collided approaching the home turn checking Idol Factor. Elite Tulip and Croky Boy collided approaching the home turn checking Spider Silva and Croky Boy. Nifty Nefertiti checked off Elite Tulip in the home straight.
Our Spirit was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to it's left thigh and right hock. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
