Steward's Report

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Hard Urned Burst engaged in this event on Friday 14 November 2014 pursuant to GAR 79A. 

G Thorneycroft, trainer of Firestarter redeclared a new weight of 30.7kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Firestarter last raced at 29.1kgs.

Mr. Smart and Hard Urned Burst collided soon after the start.  Little Zippity and Firestarter collided soon after the start.  Hard Urned Burst and Unshrinkable collided approaching the 300m mark.  Little Zippity checked off Firestarter approaching the 250m mark.  Hard Urned Burst and Firestarter collided at the 250m mark.  Mr. Smart and Ten Grand Large collided at the 250m mark.  Hard Urned Burst and Firestarter collided at the 200m mark.  Mr. Smart checked off Unshrinkable approaching the 150m mark.  Hard Urned Burst checked off Multi King at the 100m mark.  Mr. Smart and Ten Grand Large collided at the 50m mark, and again at the winning post, checking Mr. Smart.

Ten Grand Large was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained right quadriceps soreness, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
