Oaklands, Miss Monaleen and Orson's Touch collided soon after the start checking Orson's Touch which tailed off. Sparkeen, Soda Man and Tontoria collided approaching the first turn. Sparkeen and Soda Man collided on the first turn. Miss Monaleen raced awkwardly on the first turn and tailed off as a result. Soda Man and Oaklands collided approaching the home turn checking Soda Man.
Miss Monaleen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained right tricep, right chest muscle, right back muscle and left hamstring injuries. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.
Orson's Touch was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a ruptured tendon in the left elbow. A stand down period of 28 days was imposed.
