Allen Quarian and Vapour Caper were slow to begin. Cruisen Billy, Say Again, Magic Galo and Eye Adam collided soon after the start checking Say Again. Vapour Caper, Cruisen Billy, Magic Galo and Why Not Marie collided on the first turn checking Why Not Marie. Eye Adam and Allen Quarian collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Cruisen Billy checked off Vapour Caper approaching the home turn and raced wide approaching the home turn, on the home turn and in the home straight. Say Again and Eye Adam collided entering the home straight. Eye Adam and Vapour Caper collided several times in the home straight.
Why Not Marie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left and right monkey muscles, left and right quadriceps and right pencil muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
