Big Vee, Uno Nando and Bella Broccoli were quick to begin. Lumumba, Before Dawn and Bella Sprinter collided soon after the start checking Before Dawn. Bella Sprinter checked off Bella Broccoli on the first turn. Bella Sprinter galloped on the heels of Oriental Emily approaching the home turn checking Oriental Emily, causing Bella Sprinter to fall. Tooradale raced wide on the home turn.
Bella Sprinter was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained lacerations to the left front toe, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. First-aid was administered to the greyhound.
