Artemis One (severely checked and fell on the first turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist fracture and left tendon injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

George McFly (severely checked and lost ground on the first turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Representative Mr R.Rudd regarding Chief Dribble’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Chief Dribble was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Rudd pleaded guilty to the charge. Chief Dribble was found guilty and suspended for three months at all tracks and must perform two Satisfactory Trials in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Trainer Mr R.Henness was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for Go Far Star, pursuant to GAR 88.

Marionvale Tiger was slow to begin.

Smoldering Decay (incident in the catching pen), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left achilles tendon. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Mepunga Sunset (collided with Smoldering Decay in the concluding stages), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wounds to the left hind foot. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Representative Mr R.Rudd regarding the racing manners of Mepunga Sunset in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr Rudd, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.

Handler Mr David Wightman was issued with a warning pursuant to GAR 156(f)(ii) for negligence, in that the incorrect race rug was placed on Nanna's Blue Boy at scanning.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr G.Cowcher after they failed to apply for a bandage endorsement to be applied to Bumpy's Dad Roy during kennelling time, pursuant to GAR 90(3).

Racing was indefinitely delayed at 2:07pm due to remedial work undertaken to the catching pen flap. Track maintenance staff rectified the issue. Stewards declared the track satisfactory for racing at 2:32pm.

All races were amended to the following times: Race 11: 2:37pm and race 12 at 2:52pm.

Following the event, Stewards questioned Mrs. Jane Hook, the trainer of Kraken Candy, after noting the betting fluctuations opened at $50 and closed at $5. Mrs. Hook stated that the greyhound had resumed racing from a spell due to being seasonal and was expecting a strong performance in today’s event after an encouraging performance at Bendigo on 27/10/23. Mrs Hook stated that she did not support the greyhound in today’s event. Stewards noted Mrs Hook’s comments.
