Volatile Bale was quick to begin. Miss Mayflower crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Pretty Bale and Mi Diablo. Yoko Bale and Jiggly Legs collided approaching the second turn checking Jiggly Legs. Yoko Bale and Jiggly Legs collided approaching the third turn. Yoko Bale and Miss Mayflower collided on the third turn checking Miss Mayflower and Opec Bale. Yoko Bale and Jiggly Legs collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.
Miss Mayflower fell heavily after the winning post and was vetted. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right triceps, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
