Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Judge Ms E. Fothergill, did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Balleer Glory was quick to begin. Singed Follicles, Code Breaker and Diamond Hustler were slow to begin. Claretown Tex went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Black Oyster checked off Balleer Glory approaching the home turn, checking Deejay's Mate and Code Breaker and causing Black Oyster to tail off as a result. Mr Genetic raced wide approaching the home turn, checking Balleer Glory. Balleer Glory raced wide in the home straight.
Black Oyster was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a grade 1 muscle strain to the left shoulder and a back muscle tear, a 30 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. T. Sharp regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Claretown Tex. Stewards directed that Claretown Tex to be boxed first in future events.
