Steward's Report
Secret Spell was quick to begin. Veyron Bale crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Scenic Shot, Weston East, Veyron Bale and severely checking Cosmic Angel and Crackerjack Rose; which both stumbled. Cosmic Angel checked off Weston East on the second turn, checking Scenic Shot.
Cosmic Angel was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right stopper bone injury; a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Scenic Shot was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a graze to the left hind and right fore leg; no stand down period was imposed.
Crackerjack Rose was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Tom Dailly the handler of Crackerjack Rose regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the second turn. Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to Gar 71, before any future nomination will be accepted.
