Claretown Bart was slow to begin.
Cosmic Lily crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Sing For Me and Johnny Heritage. Fearsome Warrior, Johnny Heritage and Sing For Me collided approaching the first turn checking Johnny Heritage. Psychotic Bob and Zoe collided on the first turn. Cosmic Lily crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Psychotic Bob, Fearsome Warrior and Sing For Me and severely checking Zoe and Capacity. Johnny Heritage and Sing For Me raced wide entering the home straight. Johnny Heritage checked off Psychotic Bob in the home straight.
Zoe was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left pencil muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to C. Kiernan regarding the direction that Fearsome Warrior be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
