Enry's Surprize was quick to begin. Wilma's Thunder and Hypernym were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Hypernym checked off Smooth Honey approaching the first turn. Top End Torque and Smooth Honey collided on the first turn severely checking Smooth Honey and Hypernym. Top End Torque checked off Tina Lee approaching the home turn severely checking Top End Torque and Red Light Runner, Red Light Runner stumbled as a result. Top End Torque and Smooth Honey collided entering the home straight.
Red Light Runner was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right pencil muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
