Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Tait, the trainerof the greyhound Highfield Roco regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn.  Highfield Roco was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right tricep, a five day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Highfield Roco with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. N. Tait pleaded guiltyto the charge, Highfield Roco was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Starvin' Seagull, Dunstall and Kal Bale were slow to begin. Starvin' Seagull checked off Dyna Olwen soon after the start. Usain Burst, King Odessa and Dyna Olwen collided approaching the first turn. Renstar and Dunstall collided approaching the first turn. King Odessa checked off Dyna Olwen on the first turn, checking Renstar and Dunstall. Remo Belle and Kal Bale collided on the first turn, checking Remo Belle. Renstar galloped on the heels of Dunstall approaching the home turn.
