Mantaray Lad, Highfield Roco and Allmendinger collided approaching the first turn. Allen Quarian and Mantaray Lad collided on the first turn. Highfield Roco eased on the first turn. Allen Quarian checked off Mantaray Lad on the first turn and collided with Nubian Princess; causing Allen Quarian and Nubian Princess to lose ground. Nubian Princess and Stinga Rebel collided approaching the home turn, checking Stinga Rebel. Mantaray Lad and Psychotic Bob collided approaching the home turn.
Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Tait, the trainerof the greyhound Highfield Roco regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Highfield Roco was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right tricep, a five day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Highfield Roco with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. N. Tait pleaded guiltyto the charge, Highfield Roco was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
