Flash Galo was quick to begin. Brooklyn Cruiser and Zipping Spice were slow to begin. True Wishes checked off Rusty Rogers approaching the first turn. Flash Galo, Rusty Rogers, Hold On Special and Anna Ray Girl collided on the first turn severely checking Flash Galo, Rusty Rogers and True Wishes, checking Zipping Spice and causing Brooklyn Cruiser and Where's Steamy to fall; Rusty Rogers tailed off as a result. Hold On Special faltered on the home turn checking Zipping Spice; Hold On Special subsequently tailed off.
Brooklyn Cruiser was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Rusty Rogers was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hock, possible fracture, a 30 day stand down period was imposed.
Where's Steamy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Hold On Special was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hamstring muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
