Howfen Bug was slow to begin.
Dusk Till Dawn turned it's head to the inside soon after the start, at the 50m mark and approaching the winning post, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. Trainer, Mr. Taylor Thornton declined the option to have the greyhound re–examined.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Thornton regarding Dusk Till Dawn’s racing manners soon after the start, at the 50m mark and approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Dusk Till Dawn was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Thornton pleaded guilty to the charge. Dusk Till Dawn suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
