Steward's Report
Sugar Bowl and Papeete Bale were slow to begin.
Moraine Arlo underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have right flexor tendon injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Papeete Bale eased and collided with Bestia Nera in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. Ms. Andrea Gurry declined the option to have the greyhound re–examined. Stewards spoke to Ms. Gurry regarding Papeete Bale's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Papeete Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Gurry pleaded guilty to the charge. Papeete Bale was suspended for 28 day at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
