Steward's Report
Koutaki – Late scratching at 1:58 pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a laceration to the right foreleg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Striking Holly severely checked on the first turn and raced wide in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right foreleg monkey muscle, and left hindleg pencil/whip injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race sample was taken from Bugs – the winner of the event.
