Big Solomona was quick to begin. Jacaerys Bale was slow to begin.
Hovland (marred If He Could in the home straight) underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Anthony Azzopardi regarding Hovland’s racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Hovland was charged with marring. Mr. Azzopardi pleaded guilty to the charge. Hovland was suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
