Lakeview Nola was quick to begin. Uriah Bale, Bear Hand and Lakeview Ally were slow to begin.
Rockin' Rhino (severely checked and subsequently pulled up turning out of the front straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder injury, split webbing to the left hind and pain to the left sesamoid. A 14 day stand-down period was imposed.
